About the role

As a Senior Developer for ANZs Data Intelligence Programme, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Build and contribute to the design of ANZs strategic data platforms as part of a scrum team
  • Design, construct and support our product applications to a high level of ongoing maintainability and availability
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to other development staff
  • Assist the Delivery teams with continually improving delivery processes to enhance stakeholder satisfaction
  • Contribute to building and developing continuous integration solutions across the programme
  • Promote collaboration within your immediate team as well as the wider group, and shape the way we work in the future
  • Build and work within a cross functional team environment

About you

To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

  • Solid commercial experience as a developer within an enterprise scale data warehouse technology environment (e.g. Teradata or Oracle)
  • Solid understanding of or practical development experience using Tableau
  • Well-developed SQL and UNIX scripting experience 
  • Experience with enterprise ETL platforms such as Datastage, Wherescape RED, Infosphere or Informatica
  • Proven problem-solving ability and the ability to work individually as well as within a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Advantageous skills & experience

  • Understanding of the Teradata Architecture with a proven knowledge of Teradata models and frameworks ideally FSDM and GCFR. 
  • Experience working across the software development cycle in an Agile environment 
  • Previous experience implementing automation and continuous integration
  • A good understanding of the QA process  and software testing 
  • Previous experience within financial services
