Test Engineer

  • Work closely with the team to build a Continuous Integration pipeline for the Domain
  • Drive initiatives that encourage an Agile culture
  • Build re-usable automation frameworks, contributing to continuous delivery

About The Role
In this role, you would have the opportunity to:

  • Document test cases and execute testing for various projects, initiatives and BAU tasks.
  • Ensure high quality and effective test planning and execution is conducted in accordance with ANZ standards.
  • Testing is focused on automation over manual.
  • Collaborate with other Technology units, providing guidance to key stakeholders and teams of practitioners.
  • Proactively identify technical, architectural and process risks and issues throughout the testing process.
  • Lead small technical teams to deliver test deliverables for small pieces of work

Role Location: Wellington
Working Hours: Business hours with flexibility available
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Minimum 5 years software testing experience with 3 years in Test Automation as a Test Engineer or Automation/Senior Automation Specialist.
  • Proficiency (1 year minimum) with at least one programming language (e.g. Groovy, Java) with a solid understanding of programming concepts. 3+ years with test automation tools (e.g. Selenium/Webdriver, Cucumber, Concordion, Jmeter etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with testing services and APIs.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles of functional and non-functional testing.
  • Scrum/Agile experience preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill. Self-managing and a self-starter.
