APS: Assurance & Reporting Leader - job share / part time

This is a job share opportunity for an experienced Reporting and Assurance Leader who is available for 2 or 3 days per week. The role can be geographically based in Sydney, Melbourne, Wellington or Auckland and will involve travel across the ANZ region. The purpose of the position is to listen, engage and communicate with our members to identify issues and position activities in relation to reporting and assurance issues and drive change to influence business / regulatory environments of relevance to members and for the public good. 


  • Lead, shape and influence reporting and assurance issues of relevance to members in Australia and New Zealand. This includes financial reporting, corporate reporting initiatives such as integrated reporting, remuneration reporting, audit and assurance
    • Drive change by influencing stakeholders and members on the need for reform or the impact of new laws and regulations
  • Ensure effective member engagement on matters of reporting and assurance advocacy
    • Build and manage key stakeholder relationships including with officials and member experts / committees
  • Co-lead a small team, including management of agile and on-demand working arrangements, to ensure evaluation of ideas is grounded on evidence and technical knowledge and is data driven
    • Collaborate with other advocacy leaders and activities and with other teams in the organization to facilitate knowledge sharing, communication of issues, alignment of activities, and effective member engagement
    • Identify and manage member champions and advocates for relevant issues
    • Be the spokesperson on reporting and assurance issues on behalf of CA ANZ
  • About you:

    • Relevant tertiary /post graduate qualifications i.e. CA preferred
    • Ten years minimum work experience in senior roles in professional environment with reporting and/or assurance expertise
    • Demonstrated ability to develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Ability to communicate legal, regulatory and policy issues effectively to diverse audiences and through variety of media
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in influencing policy outcomes
