GM Finance - Customer

Lead where it counts

Context of the role

At Contact, we are inspired by our customers. In a world where the only thing that’s constant is change, we are committed to really knowing our customers; providing the choice, certainty and control they value today…and figuring out what they will value tomorrow. We are innovative, agile and resilient; adapting and acting fast to differentiate ourselves in an increasingly competitive, data connected and digital-driven world. With customers inspiring everything that we do we earn the right to be more than just a retailer of energy.

The Customer business was decentralized a number of years ago which has led to the business having a far greater understanding of its markets, customers and products. It has also developed its own operating model and culture which has worked well, recognising that retailing and generating electricity are very different businesses. As the Customer business works towards its clear vision of the future it is important this is coupled with performance and accountability and the appropriate processes that go with this. Part of the responsibility of the GM Finance and Commercial is to increase the maturity of these processes while ensuring all the positives from the de-centralized operating model are maintained.
