This is an opportunity to become part of a dynamic ICT team, working enterprise-wide to support all IT commercial activity, with the potential to work on a range of significant and interesting projects.

Ko au mahi (What you’ll do)

The scope of the IT Commercial Advisor is wide and varied. Reporting to the Senior IT Commercial Manager, you will have responsibility for supporting day to day supply partner interactions, strategic sourcing, tendering and commercial activities within ICT.

By focusing on what is important you’ll need to have commercial awareness in contract management, commercial management and supplier performance management, using your strong communication and relationship skills to build and maintain internal partnerships. Other important components of the role are;

  • Supplier and partner Relationship Management
  • Strategic Sourcing, assisting with RFx
  • Reporting, planning

You’ll be putting your energy where it matters, providing commercial support and advice that result in beneficial outcomes for Contact, as well as creating value for our customers and communities.

Needless to say, your commercial astuteness with a strong desire to perform will shine through on a daily basis. Of course, you’ll need to have practical alertness across;

  • IT technologies
  • Understanding end-to-end procurement life cycles (including strategic sourcing)
  • Negotiation strategy, evaluation strategy
  • Commercial Risk
