Making your mark

You will be part of the cross functional end user technology team; you will stamp your mark on this position as the technical lead across our ITSM platform. If this isn’t a call for action, I don’t know what is. Why are we doing this?

Did you know that over half a million kiwis have Contact Energy as their energy provider? We have implemented some exciting new changes to our wider business, feedback is in and there are some things we want to work on to make our service even better. As our ITSM specialist you will build and maintain our ITSM platform. This will ultimately ensure the Fred Dagg’s and Hilary Barry’s of the world will have a meaningful technological experience with us.

Cool stuff you’ll be doing (but not exclusive too)

  • Consult and collaborate on new and improved functionality for our ITSM platform
  • Work within the project framework to design and deploy new solutions and workflows (including form design, business logic/workflow)
  • Managing system configuration; vendor integration and security

How you’ll hit it out of the park

We’re not just after anyone. We’re after the expert of the experts and the collaborator of the collaborators in this space. You will have some awesome ideas on different ways of working like agile so much so that it’ll be like you’re doing yoga 24/7 #flexiyou. To simplify the skill set we’re seeking;

  • Management of competing priorities and workflows, setting clear expectations around delivery timeframes
  • Experience with Cherwell Service Manager (CSM) or other IT Service Management toolsets, Active Directory and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), experience of using a report writer such as Crystal Reports or SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Working knowledge/experience writing complex logical expressions to support system workflow design and implementation
  • Strong analytical, process-oriented, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
