Relationship Associate

About The Role
In this role, you would have the opportunity to:

  • Support Lending Services Managers in managing high risk Commercial & Agri customer groups by conducting financial analysis and credit strategy workshops and recommendations for customer portfolios
  • Actively participate in customer interviews to understand the customers’ business and financial needs with a view to developing mutually beneficial strategies
  • Assist with effective retention or exit strategies for customer portfolios to protect the Bank’s balance sheet and reputation risk
  • Provide support for financial analysis of customer provided statements, including identification of trends and issues and recommendation of strategy to identify and assess risk inherent in credit exposures
  • Work collaboratively with Commercial and Agri Business Unit to promote Lending Services as a valued business partner ensuring risk strategy for high risk account management is understood
  • Assist to develop and execute appropriate elements of the customer strategy, in conjunction with the Manager and/or Senior Manager and product specialists where appropriate
  • Provide support for financial analysis of customer provided statements, including identification of trends and issues and recommendation of strategy to identify and assess risk inherent in credit exposures

About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience in developing sound relationships in a risk adverse environment
  • Sound ability to assess financial statements and identify/implement exit or retention strategies
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in management or financial discipline and/or previous credit/recovery experience in the Banking industry
  • Knowledge of security, accounting, commercial law practices
  • Demonstrated ability to identify mutually beneficial solutions for both the customer and the Bank
  • Be passionate about contributing to exceptional outcomes for our customers, business and stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
