Transdev Auckland is contracted to Auckland Transport to operate passenger rail services in Auckland. The Auckland train network carries more than 19 million passengers per annum, is serviced by more than 660 Transdev staff, and operates more than 2,800 services each week. ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Service Planning & Performance Manager, you will be a key member of a small and friendly team dealing with the critical function of producing schedules and rosters to effectively utilise staff and Rolling Stock (Trains).

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, you will have experience in the passenger rail industry; an understanding of timetabling, scheduling and rosters/shift work management, and knowledge of the Auckland Suburban Rail Network, together with:

  • Effective communication.
  • Excellent organisation, planning, problem solving, analytical, evaluative and decision making skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • An understanding of strategic planning principles and applications.
  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm to ensure continuous improvement in the design and development of train services and staff scheduling.
  • Qualifications in computer science / IT and / or engineering discipline from a recognised tertiary institution
