Trainee Train Manager

The role:

We are currently looking for a Trainee Train Manager to join our existing team and to assist in the safe and punctual running of our services.

As a Train Manager you will be responsible for providing an efficient and friendly service to Auckland passengers. This role include the safe operation of train doors and dealing with customer queries and issues.

This is a safety critical role and requires all successful applicants to meet the pre-employment benchmarks in psychometric testing along with an interview, satisfactory criminal history checks, medical examination and references.

This is your opportunity to work in one of the fastest growing industries in Auckland as our transport network continues to expand.

 

You will have:

  • Customer service experience; with a strong focus on generating customer satisfaction.
  • Experience of dealing with a broad range of the public.
    Effective Communication - A high standard of literacy, both written and oral, is essential.
  • Ability to take charge of situations and stay calm under pressure.
  • High level of decision making skills.
  • High level of resistance to stressful situations, and ability to handle those situations effectively.
  • Confidence to work a busy train on your own when required.

  • Be a New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident or Resident
  • Have a full and clean New Zealand Drivers Licence
  • Have a good grasp of the New Zealand Health and Safety processes and procedures
  • Be able to work to a 24/7 work roster
