Enterprise Collections Specialist - Smales Farm, Auckland

We're looking for someone who is keen and ready to join our collections team at Smales Farm, North Shore. As our new Enterprise Collections Specialist you will be tasked with the collection of consumer & enterprise debt, with the aim to nurture relationships and collaborate with our business and consumer customers to find viable resolutions. You will gain exposure across different business ledgers and have the ability to work with agility and under pressure with the support of your team in this role. 




What will I be doing?

  • Proactively collecting revenue by contacting customers and monitoring aged trial balance to keep days outstanding and bad debt write off to a minimum
  • Continually exceeding customer expectations by resolving outstanding issues, negotiating suitable payment arrangements and responding to queries in a timely, accurate and respectful manner
  • Assigning customers to collections paths to tailor the appropriate collections action 
  • Deactivate connections/products following the completion of collection action
  • Liaise with Business Account Managers as required to validate collection action upon their customers




What will I bring?

  • One plus years collections’ experience
  • The ability to effectively manage your time
  • Have the ability to self-manage in absence of Team Manager
  • Communicate clearly and concisely ensuring notes, correspondence or instructions are completed for every transaction
  • Use of initiative to access all available resources and knowledge bases for assistance
  • IT proficiency, in particular Excel
