About the role:
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Risk Strategy and Transformation, you will take a leadership role in the development of strategic prioritisation, planning objectives, enhancing business performance and communications.  You will be expected to lead continuous improvements and simplification initiatives to help the business unit achieve its priorities. 


You will be responsible for workflow planning with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Governance team by managing programme planning and stakeholder updates, enabling the CRO and the Risk Leadership Team to leverage and utilise their time more effectively, enabling them to be even more visible, flexible, and accessible to the business and customers This role will require strong technical experience, sound judgement and strong influencing skills. Your communication skills will be second to none; steering your team and key business partners towards the desired outcomes and deadlines. 

In this role you will:

  • Support the Head of Risk Strategy and Transformation and the Leadership team in the development of strategic prioritisation and planning objectives and measurement tools to enable the business to meet its objectives and deliver executional excellence.
  • Lead the management and improvement of risk efficiencies
  • Support the management of the risk profile and drive appropriate risk management practices and accountabilities in Risk.


What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Significant experience in a Risk role, Change Management, Operations Management or other relevant business discipline
  • Project and Change Management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in complex and challenging conversations and the ability to provide coaching for capability uplift
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships across the business
