Product Insights Business Partner


Insights focused analytics role based in our Analytics Centre of Excellence.

Reporting to the Product Analytics Manager, you will work closely with the Product Management team to support Westpac’s Product strategies and initiatives.  Your role is in the pivotal position of being able to analyse the bank wide data to provide the business with actionable insights and recommendations to drive improvements in market share, customer satisfaction and revenue.  You will build strong connections with stakeholders and become a key player in driving informed decision making.

We are looking for someone who strives to improve performance and can understand how to apply analytics to create real insight and address business needs. You are energetic, passionate and able to build strong relationships and influence the decisions and the actions of others using data to support arguments. Your ability to problem solve and your attention to detail are other key qualities that will add value.

 
What you need to succeed:

  • Experience with SAS or SQL is a must and exposure to Power BI or similar visualisation software will be beneficial
  • Experience working within a large organisation with heaps of financial data – you’ll understand profitability and key drivers behind customer behaviour
  • Excellent communication skills as you will need to work closely with stakeholders to meet their expressed and unexpressed needs
  • The ability to present complex data in a clear and easy to understand way
  • Experience working in an Agile environment would be beneficial
  • Tertiary qualification in Maths, Stats, Computer Science or some other related field
