Product Manager – Agency Banking

About the role:
 

A Product Manager – Agency Banking opportunity is now available to profitably grow Westpac’s Agency Banking proposition and create a clear point of difference to our competitors.

 

Our Agency Banking team designs, builds and supports the payment platforms financial institutions and credit unions use for their card and transactional payment processing. Working closely with third parties, such as the card schemes (eg. Mastercard), industry payment bodies and technology vendors while leveraging Westpac’s knowledge and connections with the New Zealand payment network

 

Along with day-to-day product management, such as product and process development, pricing, channel development and planning and forecasting, you’ll use your cards or payments background to identify new market segments and develop new capability that meets the needs of existing and new Agency Banking customers.

 
To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • At least 3+ years’ of experience in Product Management

  • 5-10 years’ experience in the banking sector with specific experience in payment products and services (cards issuing and merchant acquiring)

  • Experience in developing and implementing new products, including negotiation of commercial agreements

  • A strong business understanding of payment systems and IT

  • Sound analytical, strategic, financial and problem solving abilities
